RAMAGYA SCHOOL NOIDA ORGANIZED FIRST EDITION OF ROLLER SKATING INTERSCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIP CERTIFIED BY ROLLER SKATING FEDERATION OF INDIA
Over 400 students from more than 20 Schools participated in the first edition of this one-of-a-kind Roller Skating Interschool Championship held in the premises of Ramagya School, Noida on 9th May 2019.
With an aim to promote and nurture the roller skating talents of the students, Ramagya School Noida organized the first edition of Roller Skating Interschool Championship in the school premises. Over 400 students (in the age group under 4 years to above 16 years) from 20 schools participated in this mega sports event certified and judged by Roller Skating Federation of India (RSFI). Among the leading participating schools included Amity International School, Mayur Public School, DPS Noida, Billabong High International School, Evergreen Public School, etc.
Inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Chairman, Ramagya Group, the Roller Skating Interschool Championship witnessed the presence of a large number of dignitaries including Mr. Utkarsh Gupta, Managing Director, Ramagya Group; Mr. Sanjay Kumar Bensla, National Head, Ramagya Group; Dr. Gopal, Director – Sports, Ramagya Group; Ms. Aparna Magee, Principal, Ramagya School, Noida and Mr. Anuj Chaudhary, HOD, Physical Education, besides all Sports Coaches of Ramagya School.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sanjay Gupta Chairman, Ramagya Group said, “The students must always keep their sportsman spirit high to compete enthusiastically amid successes and failures. Ramagya believes in promoting sports as an integral part of the school curriculum and so it delivers an educational experience that engages students intellectually, creatively, physically and socially.”
In this one-of-a-kind Roller Skating Interschool Championship, there were three categories: Adjustable, Quads and Inline in which both Boys and Girls teams participated with full zeal and enthusiasm and zest. The day-long event concluded with the distribution of the certificates and medals to the winners. The first position was secured by Mayur Public School while Ramagya School secured the second position. Sarvottam International World School got the third position in this most memorable event.
