‘Role Play’ is one of the most important tools of learning, particularly at the Primary level. Taking that into consideration an Inter House Pretend Performance Competition was organized for students of grade I,not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop their imagination and confidence by giving them an opportunity to get on the stage and express themselves without any inhibition in front of the audience. This competition was open for all the students of grade I.

There were two themes for the competition:  My Leader My Role Model & Unity in Diversity. Students had dressed up in an apt manner as per the theme of their choice. Each participant spoke few lines in English to depict the theme and their role. Majority of the students had dressed up as famous leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, Sarojini Naidu, Indira Gandhi etc. The participants put in their best efforts for the event and resembled the real leader in their attire. All the students enthusiastically spoke the famous lines of their respective leader with great confidence and thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the event. It was a good exposure and learning experience for the students. Judges had a tough time in selecting winners from each section of grade I.
