Basant Panchami is the festival which symbolizes the onset of the spring season and is also celebrated to worship Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. Ramagaya School, Noida celebrated the occasion through a special assembly in Hindi.
The assembly commenced with the Gayatri Mantra and it was followed by the prayer song ‘He Sharde Maa’ by the choir. Continuing with the spirit of celebration thought of the day was shared by class V students in Sanskrit. The importance of this festival and the relevance of yellow colour was highlighted to the students by means of a speech, poem, scintillating dance and mesmerizing Sarawati Vandana.
The assembly concluded with seeking blessings from Goddess Saraswati for knowledge.
