Water conservation is a necessity in the present era and this activity helped in creating awareness about water conservation. The School organized an IDS activity ‘Making of a working model of Water Conservation’ for the students of classes VI-VIII. The Little Scientists participated in Model making competition with great zeal and highlighted the factors responsible for the increase in demand for water. They presented self-made models and explained ways to conserve water. Some simple methods for saving water like collecting rainwater for various purposes, drip irrigation where there is a scarcity of water, cutting off shower time, etc. were suggested through models. The competition concluded with a pledge by children to ‘save water and never waste it’.
